    A step down from the original

    I have been a user of these since the the late 80s and I was really looking forward to a new one as my last one broke in a move. I am disappointed. This is a step backwards in utility with the new shape. But, it still functions better than others I have seen that cost more. Please bring back the original shape.

    The new holes may help with ventilation of a laptop depending on the laptop, that is a plus, maybe.

    The original shape was better.

    Great product and customer service

    I have been a fan of Easy Reader bookstands since I was in college 20 years ago. I actually still have two of those classic bookstands. Since my children like them, too, I had to buy some new ones. We really like how the new ones are easier to open and close. Unfortunately, the adhesive remover that was included with the new bookstands caused permanent discoloration, as if it isn't supposed to be used on plastic. But Easy Reader's customer service was great! They communicated in a timely manner and they sent us two replacement bookstands. My daughter even takes her bookstand to school (4th grade). She says her classmates have been asking her, "That's cool! What is that?" It's Easy Reader, that's what!
